I started diving in 2002. I have made more than 800 recreational dives with compressed air or nitrox in SCUBA, mainly in the seas of Mexico.
I am interested in contributing to the conservation of the environment. I am a member of the Advanced Western Tropical Atlantic Fish Recognition Team at the NGO Reef Environmental Educational Foundation (REEF). With this organization I observe and census fish stocks as a volunteer, and I have taught fish recognition courses to national park staff and amateur associations. I have accredited the expert level in the Tropical West Atlantic for REEF, and I have contributed data to professional studies of conservation and recognition of species published in technical journals.
Since 2015 I take underwater photographs with a compact camera, without artificial light. In the Photography section you can see some of the photographs that have been exhibited and published.
