The theme of the 2024 calendar of the Mexican Association of Underwater Imaging, AMISUB, is “Gulf of Mexico.” Included in this calendar is a photo of mine of two Caribbean squids, taken in the Sistema Arrecifal Veracruzano National Park, Mexico in 2017. It illustrates the month of October.
On this occasion I witnessed a squid mating dance. It’s something few have seen. The photo is taken with natural light.
